Man oh man – these two traveled in from out of town for this Kelowna engagement shoot. I love when my clients tell me they are up for some adventure photography really feeds my creative soul. About an hour before our session, I went to pre-scout a few locations form a bit of a game plan. It was a bit of a trek up to the top, the weather was mild, no wind, no rain…warm…i was sweating! and I found SOME KILLER spots to take in the Kelowna views and photograph this amazing couple. Well mother nature had other plans. I literally walked down to meet them and by the time we got back to the top…the weather had shifted into something that flustered me for a moment. It was cold, like really really cold, and winds that were knocking us over on the bluffs…and then the rain…I debated completely changing the location. But these two game to power through…so we did. We embraced the wind, the dirt and spontaneous – which I live for. Yes we got wet, and cold…but i think it was so worth it. WE couldn’t make it to a couple of the sweet spots I found due to hazardous conditions but that’s okay…I love being a wedding and lifestyle photographer and capturing these moments for my couples with the beautiful Okanagan Views.
